| The NJ Marlins organization consists of seven teams, U-14 Marlins, U-16 Marlins, U-17 Marlins (USABL), U-18 Marlins (ABCCL), Bridge League Marlins, and the Collegiate Development Marlins (ABCCL). All teams are based out of Ocean Sports Academy, located in Ocean Township, New Jersey. Ocean Sports Academy started the U-17 and U-18 teams in 2007 and in effort to allow players to continue their growth and development the Collegiate Team, U-16, and U-14 teams were fielded for the first time in 2009. The NJ Marlin's goal is for each individual baseball player to learn, refine and develop his baseball skills. We want our players to have a place to play during the off season, and as long as players continue to improve and work hard, they will be given that opportunity. Ultimately, we would like to have a team in every age group, 9 years of age to the collegiate level player. NJ Marlin's players will have excellent coaches, specialized instructors, and state of the art facilities at their disposal. Ocean Sports Academy is a climate controlled, year round baseball facility, that the Marlin players will be able to take full advantage of. OSA feels strongly that the season does not end, after the last pitch has been thrown. Marlin players will be part of the off-season conditioning and training programs, with OSA's own strength and conditioning coach and baseball instructors. The Marlins staff puts 100% of its efforts into this program and demand that the Marlin players do the same. We want our players to feel like they are part of something special, part of the "NJ Marlin Family". The NJ Marlins are coached by Ocean Sports Academy’s owner Ed Graziano and former Rutgers pitching Coach/Recruiter Tom Baxter. These two seasoned veterans see that the NJ Marlins receive top notch instruction while part of their organization. The entire coaching staff enjoys working with the high school aged athlete, as these players are able to develop skills that can lead them to success on and off the diamond. The Marlin's coaching staff consults with dozens of college coaches and scouts. The teams travel up and down the east coast throughout the year seeking the best competition and as much exposure as possible. Aspiring college athletes will be in contact with Division 1, 2, and 3 coaches. Collegiate athletes will be able to compete against top flight competition and be seen by many scouts that survey the summer leagues for talent. The NJ Marlins will be participating in the ABC Jersey Shore Baseball League. Tryout dates will be posted for players who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors. This is a wood bat league.
